October is a time of harvest and fun—it gets dark earlier, people get in the holiday loop, and there are leaves changing and pumpkins popping up all over! Time begins to remind us that autumn is here, colder weather is on the horizon and we need to prepare our bodies for the season.
3 things to do to make sure you don’t get sick this month but stay healthy for the fun:
- Be mindful of allergies when outdoors and indoors. Change your filters in your house and do some fall cleaning
- Start eating soups – there are some great ways to use fall veggies. Stews and chowders are crying for root veggies and warn seafood bisques will hit that spot.
- Exercise more-start hiking or strolling to see the colors changing and the decorations abounding around town.
October activities are fun and creative -and sometimes a bit spooky—stay clear, watch for full moons and black cats, and create some colorful centerpieces for you to enjoy the season.
