Shariff Medical Group

June is Men’s Health Month

and at Shariff Medical Group, we’re using this time to speak directly to the men in our community and the people who love them.

Here’s the truth: men are far less likely to visit a doctor, get screened, or ask for help. The result? Conditions that are easily managed — or even prevented — go undetected until they become serious. We can do better. Together.

3 Things Every Man Should Do This June

  1. Schedule That Checkup — If you’ve been putting it off, this is your sign. A routine visit with your primary care provider can catch blood pressure issues, cholesterol problems, diabetes risk, and more — before they become a crisis. We’re here and we’re easy to get to.
  2. Know Your Numbers — Blood pressure. Blood sugar. Cholesterol. PSA (if you’re 50+, or 40+ with a family history). These numbers tell a story. Do you know yours?
  3. Talk About How You’re Feeling — All of It — Mental health is health. Stress, anxiety, depression, and burnout affect men deeply and quietly. Our providers are here to listen without judgment. There is no strength in silence.

A Special Note for the Women Reading This

Sometimes the person who gets the man in your life to the doctor is you. Make the call. Schedule the appointment. We’ll take it from there.
