Darker nights, colder days-yep, it’s November folks!

November is that time when clocks fall back, darkness drops earlier—colder days creep in, decorations start sprouting up, and people are getting into the holiday treadmill spirit! Sometimes regrettably and sometimes cheerfully. Autumn leaves are abundant here, good nutrition habits are becoming a must do and the bad weather portends harvest done and hibernation is beginning.

3 things to do to make sure you keep perspective and health in mind:

  1. Remember one small slice of pumpkin pie- not the whole thing. Let’s try moderation at this time of the year.
  2. Start layering the clothes. Still gets warmish during the day and sweating can cause colds and such. Wear layers that can be easily removed during the day.
  3. Stretch before lifting. Whether it’s the extra chairs, raking or hanging lights- pace yourself.

November days can be productive and reflective. Be mindful, thoughtful, friendly -and alert. Make the beginnings of this holiday season festive and fun!
